This Indie Dance-Rock duo from our amazing city are veterans in our indie music scene. ANR was born in 2004. This South Florida Duo is made up of multi-instrumentalist Michael-John Hancock (aka John Hancock; vocals, drums) and Brian Robertson (keys, vocals) who are both University of Miami students!!! ANR released a series of albums through Miami based indie label: Sutro. They also released a couple of albums through: Honor Roll Music.
They have had a pretty good following in Miami, Fl and around the world. Their music has been featured in many Music Blogs ( Thats what we noticed while researching)nd a trust us they do play really well and their shows are really fun. Its awesome to see the drummer sing while he does his thing with the skins! A friend of ours saw them in NYC with the one and only Millionyoung and she told us the same thing; then we told her we saw them at EVE here in Miami with Washed Out!! ( and we lost another friend….JK!) Fun Times.
Sorry, we got a little carried away. ANR will be having a release party for their ” Stay Kids” Album. The party will happen March 5 at EVE (again?!) with guests: Little Beards. Make sure to check the event out on Facebook or ANR’s site.
