Even though they reside in the sunshine state AKA Florida, Dear Darling carries a dark and rainy essence, their minty fresh sound, blends elements of Rock, Jazz, Psychedelic Pop, Hard Rock, and Blues.
The band is currently formed by Damaris Vicke (singer/song-writer, bass, guitar) Javier Guell (lead guitar, back vocals) Daniella Bertoldi (keys, synths) and Nico Saavedra (drums).
Dear Darling released their 6-song debut EP called CLOUDED ROOM OF HAPPINESS, a lushy, soundtrack-like album with exuberant sounds, luscious lyrics in English and Spanish, and topped it with happy-go-lucky backing vocals.
Dear Darling is the new incarnation of Huma Rojo, a very active band in Miami circa 2007-2009; this foursome started to function under its current name in 2010.
Make sure to listen to them here on rotation! In the mean time since you’re already reading up, why don’t you listen up and enjoy the sounds of Dear Darling.
