Jesp

Since emerging on the Miami scene on June 5, 2009 @ Vagabond Fridays, Jesp aka producer/songwriter J. Espinoza has captured the Magic City with positive press reviews, radio play and packed performances at indie nights and South Beach nightclubs alike with his powerful electro rock sound.

A rabid following and substantial Internet buzz have ensued. The Jesp debut album ‘Heart Rhythm’ received over 2,000 downloads in its first week of independent release via Sweat Records, and his sound has been blogged about on Hype Machine, The Get Downnn, The Pop Sucker and Off the Radar to name a few.

After his move to NYC in June of 2010, Jesp decided to take his sound outside of Miami and was able to perform a series of live shows in NYC throughout the year at venues such as Piano’s, Lit, Arlene’s Grocery and Ella in Lower East Side Manhattan. Late that year Jesp’s release of the Dark Pop track ‘It’s About Time’, was well received by listeners in over 40 countries, who helped push the song to #13 on Hype Machine’s Twitter Charts. He then closed out the year returning to his hometown with a colossal live performance at the Overthrow’s Basel Castle featuring headliners Theophilus London and Rye Rye.

Now in summer 2011, Jesp is ready to release his highly anticipated new EP ‘Step Into the Dark’. Make sure to follow him around in order to stay posted on where he will be performing! He will for sure be pretty busy with the release of his new EP. Here’s a video that he released about a year ago, featuring our friend Amanda De La Nuez!! This is what you can expect from him and his new release “Step Into the Dark.” Enjoy and support your local talent.
