This is probably the most colorful and fun part of the site, that is if you’re more of a visual person. There is so much to see and listen on this site; although, in the Artist of The Month section, you’re in another dimension. This month I am super excited to introduce you to a fascinating artist that will captivate you with the colors and characters she incorporates in her art. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the art of Helena Garcia.
BIRDWALK
ALPACA
BIG BAD WOLF DEAD
Raised in South Florida with a BFA in Illustration from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Helena enjoys creating designs and paintings consisting of whimsical characters. These include animals to little girls with funny haircuts and everything in between. Helena as an artist in 2012 dominates both worlds of expression. She uses fluid acrylics on wood and when she goes digital she uses Adobe Illustrator.
Ferret Pod
Yeti’s Day Out
Tasmanian Devil
Inspired by artists like Yoshitomo Nara,Charley Harper, Marc Boutavant, Chris Sanders, Mary Blair and Seonna Hong, Helena has added the style necessary to make her art unique. She is a very motivated artist and told us that this motivation to perfect her art is what keeps her going in good times and in bad ones; that and coffee!!
