The Sweat Records gods have spoken! Let there be Sweatstock! Oh, and Iggy Pop, the rock god himself. If you haven’t already been sold, allow me to elaborate. On Saturday, April 21, Sweat Records will be celebrating their 7th Anniversary, Record Store Day, AND Iggy’s birthday with vinyl, live music, and food trucks. Did I mention it’s free? Well, I just did, so eat that economic turmoil.
The madness begins early with Sweatstock opening their doors at 9am for Record Store Day. So head out early and pick up some new (or old) releases. Live music begins at noon, compliments of some awesome DJs, including DJ Hottpants, Induce, and DJ A-Train. The main stage will be open from 1pm to 11pm, while Beached Miami and Roofless Records Patio stages will stay open indefinitely. Among the acts performing are Afrobeta, Psyhic Mirrors, Palette Town, and our good friends, The Jellyfish Brothers. This is a great opportunity to see some fantastic local talent and feast upon the delicious treats provided by Gypsy Kitchen and the gang of food trucks. For further details, check out the official page or the Facebook event.
See you there!
