Electric Piquete

Formed by Ed Rosado (drums/percussion) , Michael Mut (bass/MC)  , Chris Core (guitar), Ozzy Reyes (tenor saxophone/percussion), Rich Dixon (trumpet/flugelhorn/percussion), John Normandin (trombone/percussion) and Emilio Turros (Percussion), Electric Piquete has been together for about four years playing bars, clubs, private parties and music festivals throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties. Their sound can best be described as an all-instrumental mixture of Latin, jazz, funk and rock.

They were named “Best Latin Band” by the Miami New Times in 2009 and a “Band of the Hour” by Miami.com in the same year. Lexus thought enough of the group’s sound to license their music, using it on a promotional video; and The Miami Herald featured one of their songs in a special Bay of Pigs 50th Anniversary report, both in 2011.

Making tunes and people dance since 2007, Electric Piquete is always on the spotlight. In 2012 they have played in several events including Miss Carnaval Miami, Carnival on the Mile and at venues like The Stage, winning a lot of recognition and a very special place in the heart of the Miami-ans.

Don’t miss any of their future events! For more info you can follow them on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and purchase their music on iTunes.
