Hialeah Fest 2012 Day 1: What a Blast!

Day 1 of Hialeah Fest at Churchills Pub was incredible to say the least!

Each band had their time and they made every minute count, and with each set, the crowd only asked for more. The community support was unreal, with crowds coming amassing in droves.

Hialeah Fest, sponsored by Humbert, was the sight to see last night. On the main stage, a curtain was stretched in the middle, splitting the main stage into two: the left side was called the Materva stage and the right side the Jupiña stage.

Each band had only fifteen minutes to perform a set before the band on the other side started playing, and they had to rush off and pack up their gear for the next band to set up.

While this might seem insane to some, no one sweated it and the process went smoothly. And it all wasn’t just inside; the back patio had its fair share of action too. The bar outside was also full and the music just as loud.

What’s more, Hialeah Fest is not just a music festival, but an opportunity for everyone to see and enjoy their community.

It was great to see everyone out, enjoying the bands, sitting down and having a beer to cheer on the next act.

It was also a chance for people to learn about the organization Hialeah Kicks Ass, which donates money for education to children in other countries and other charities.

So with day one over and Day 2 later tonight, we hope everyone is rested and raring to come out again, or for their first time, and celebrate their community with bands and people you’ll always enjoy.

Check out the Hialeah Fest website for tonight’s set list and more photos coming soon.
