Hora de la flor

Hora de la flor is hosted by DJ LAFLOR, a first-generation Colombian-Miamian DJ based in Portland, OR. LAFLOR fell into DJing through curiosity and an interest in connecting with her familial roots. Inspired by the salsa, cumbia, and boleros she grew up listening to while cleaning on Sunday mornings – LAFLOR began collecting and cataloging her family’s vinyl collection in hopes of preserving records for future generations. DJ LAFLOR is sought after to play all vinyl sets that consist of salsa, cumbia, boogaloo, and funk / soul music. Every once in a while, she will get behind the digital decks to play early 00s reggaeton, perreo, and indie Spanish rock. You can catch boleros, salsa, funk, soul, and disco from around the globe with an occasional visit of whatever she’s been streaming. If you want to chat about wine, the culture of salsa music, organizing vinyl, Teddy Pendergrass or anything else, don’t hesitate in reaching out or following @flowerxgirl on Instagram.   See you in cyberspace…🌹
