New Digs
New Digs was born from a desire to keep on expanding – both a collection a palette. I love both playing and discovery & in the intersection is where I find inspiration to continue to do both.
New Digs will focus on recent purchases on wax as well as fresh discoveries online. Sets will range in length and topic but will likely orbit certain genres e.g. RnB, Hip Hop, Boogie, House, Electro, Jersey, Bmore, Breaks & their close sub-genres. My primary aim is to share new records that have pricked my ear in the shop/home – one’s that will be included into the tapestry of sounds I collect. My secondary aim is to challenge myself to play and mix coherently music with which I am not yet intimately familiar. Curiosity & vulnerability take heed as we get our hands dirty for a couple of hours.
