Night Moves

My musical influences began at an early age when my family emigrated to Union City, NJ from Cuba. My neighborhood was filled with the sounds of Steely Dan, Fania All Stars, Barry White, Celia Cruz and Marvin Gaye amongst others. In the mid-70s, we settled in Miami where Disco was in full swing. Recording mixes off radio stations like Disco96, Studio 107 and Super Q fueled my passion for dance music.

In the 80s my introduction to the clubs of South Florida continued my musical education. DJ Bill Kelly at the Copa in Fort Lauderdale and Danny Tenaglia at Cheers in South Miami were very influential in my musical journey. Eventually around 2015 I started spinning at different parties/events hosted by a close network of friends.

With Night Moves I want to explore rhythms to move the mind and the body.
