Omens
As early as the second millennium BCE, ancient Babylonians divined the future through the careful consultation of so-called ‘omen texts’, scrying portents in the conjunction of astral bodies and ominous winds. omens crafts cross-genre sonic constellations through dark and oozing waves of ambient, inviting listeners to embark on their own aural astrologies and audio auguries. Once a month, DJ Matanzas weaves dense soundscapes and sound baths across the airwaves, running the musical gamut of ambient, downtempo, deep listening, drone, doom, dark, industrial, minimalist, trance, avant-garde, experimental, and field recordings.
